Dear Father-in-law,
My wife, your daughter and I, know you can no longer be with us,
you fought long and hard to be with us.
Distance was a barrier for you to be part of our daily life, but I enjoyed the little moments we spent together anytime we got together physically and by telephone. Your jokes always made me laugh. My marriage to your beautiful and amazing daughter Olukemi is testament to how through wisdom and patience you gently guided and supported me in growing as a husband . You touched so many lives positively. I call you a king because you have all the qualities of a king. I couldn’t have asked for a better father-in-law. 
You will always be my special hero. I was looking forward to visiting you again in December this year but I didn’t know you would be gone so soon.
