My Dad loved and honoured God and His word. Each time we visited Ondo, we will hear the prayer bell at 7am in the morning. The family would gather in the private living room and pray. Dad will ask one of us to read a Bible passage and allow everyone to contribute their thoughts. These were really special times.  Everyone in our house including visitors and our homehelp were all expected to join the sessions and make a contribution.

Dad had a prayer schedule which he took very seriously. Each member of the family had a day of the week on which they were prayed by everyone in the family. For instance, Friday was the prayer day for me and my husband. Dad will call on Friday and say " Today is your prayer day, I just want you to know that mum and I prayed for you today, I hope you remembered to pray for yourself" His idealogy was that by focusing on one person in the family it will encourage Unity and fulfil the scripture "Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven- Matthew 18:19
