Tribute : Olaniyi Opaleye Son-in-law

Created by Olukemi 2 years ago
I know that when people die it is cultural that we say good things about them but with this man you don’t have to make anything up, he lived his life of simplicity and integrity. The testimonies we hear about this man are astounding. He lived and worked in a world where bribery, corruption and nepotism have become normal and acceptable but not with Daddy A (as we fondly call him), he stood his ground and maintained the standards which are expected of a true man of God. During his working career he was known for not compromising his standards of honesty, accountability, transparency and integrity, this made his friends to love him and his detractors to trust him, even those who did not like for his stance gave testimonies of his integrity.
It has been my privilege to have this great man as my father-in-law. Daddy A never called me a son-in-law nor did I hear him ever introduce to anyone as his son-in-law, he called me his son and I am so proud to be his son. I will miss my telephone conversations with him where he regularly pronounces blessings on me, my wife and my children. Daddy A is a gentle soul, a true gentleman who treated his wife with so much respect, his children learnt from the lessons of life from him by example and everyone experienced his love.
Bàbá mi, ojú á túnra rí lọ́jọ́ àjíìnde, ó d’ìgbà. Sùúnre l’áyà Jesu!
